NOT FOR PASSAGE — Thoughts on immigration
Created during a workshop directed by french graphic designer Frédéric Teschner, “NOT FOR PASSAGE” is a poetical stand on the history of New York City and its immigrants. The poster and editorial object are based on scanned, stripped, exposed, tickets and entries collected while in New York. The entry point of the project is NOT FOR PASSAGE, the first ticket of the collection. Anagrams of “Not for passage” were overprinted through the book, making the first statement loose its first sense and besoming absurd and obsolete. “Graphic Shelter”, the exhibition of the workshop’s creations took place during a week in Lyon.
